We set out tonight to take our family Christmas portrait. Do you have any idea the challenge involved in a 3 year old in a dress, an apartment complex filled with unexciting backgrounds and the puppy landmines that our fellow neighbors refuse to pick up? Yeah...lol...so we found a clear patch of grass with no "obstructions" and put the camera on a tri-pod and hoped for the best. Not to mention the fact that the sun was almost entirely down, we had people driving by watching us like we were a trio of idiots, the little one was not happy that there were doggie landmines around her, and I'm wearing a TURTLE NECK in Florida just because it's a Christmas photo and I'm trying to be Christmas-y, but sweating my face off at the same time, etc. etc. the list goes on and on. OH and my new camera...yeah, I had to send poor Jonny back inside to get the manual and figure out where the self-timer option was lol, because I never use the self-timer, seeing as I hate being in front of the camera. Well...we decided on a different pose than the one I'm showing for our cards, so I can share at least one that isn't being used for the card. As I look at this picture, I can't help but get a smile on my face. To think that the good Lord has blessed us so richly to have one another...it's the warmest feeling in the world. Love you guys :-)
I think it turned out great!

It's beautiful! And I would never have thought you were sitting in, around, or near a poopy patch. Looks like the perfect backyard to me!
